Took a walk on an old path of ours called Memory Lane
In my long floral cotton dress with a broken branch as my cane
Shifting green bushes from my bare feet as you trailed behind
Watching my hips move, as fore-plays through your mind
Under dark starry skies, the moon kisses the riverRevealing your bright smile, like reflections upon dark water
My hand gliding softly across your lips
Just to trace its definition with my soft fingertips
Crickets are singing but it’s hard to hear
Our eyes locked into the deepest stare
Wish you had seen my tears; they were as clear as rain
Hearts beating drums, as animals of the wild sang together
Cold winds tickled our skin
As warm organs played in sin
Blanketed by the moon, making love our best
Wonder whatever happened to that floral cotton dress?!?Written by Yolanda T. Marshall
